What makes Lantech a better place to work?

Lantech commits ourselves to making an ongoing investment in new hires – associates that are worth investing our time and money in. Our aim is always to work towards associate growth so each person becomes a vital part of our collective future as we expand across the global marketplace. Each person adds value to our customers – we add value to each person as a team member.

One of the 5 key pillars at Lantech is People Development. This is as every bit as critical to our success as being the product category leader and continuously seeking out new ways of delivering added value to our customers. It reads, in part: “Energize associates by providing valuable work – intentionally develop associates skills through experience-based learning.”

The key attribute we look for in a new employee is a willingness to learn and constantly improve. We provide the opportunity, you provide the curiosity and initiative – and every day, everyone grows individually as we grow our business. Our core values state that “involvement builds commitment” and that “individual’s contributions make the difference.”

Skill Progression Opportunities

Cheakita Webster, Lantech’s Human Resources Manager notes that advancement isn’t something that happens by accident: “We have the Skills Progression Program, we have the LEAP program, we have things that allow people to develop outside of those programs.” She describes the perfect candidate as “someone who is coming in with an aptitude to learn -- and is ready to apply it here and move on to the next level.”

Christina Jay, Human Resources Specialist adds, “The unique thing about the Skills Progression Program is associates are not locked in to the path chosen when first walking through the door – I’ve had people go from materials to production, or production to welding. The system doesn’t limit associates, it grows in whatever direction you choose.” She is especially proud of LEAP, the Lantech Electrical Apprenticeship Program, a free program in which associates teach other associates the trade.

You will be both valued and increasingly more and more valuable from the day you interview through your entire career as a part of the Lantech family.
